How TIMOMAX Works

How it works

One network, built so it cannot bluff.

TIMOMAX holds two networks in one place and puts an assistant between them, so that nobody has to know which half of the system holds their answer.

The two halves

The side that saves animals, and the side that pays for it.

Welfare network

Shelters, rescues, fosters, transport

Capacity, urgent animals, foster homes, volunteer drivers and the animals waiting on a ride. Free permanently — and structurally so: the database refuses to place a shelter, rescue, foster network, wildlife rehabilitator or welfare nonprofit on a paid tier at all.

Pet services network

Vets, boarding, groomers, trainers, stores

Verified businesses people are already looking for. Profiles and enhanced listings are paid, and that revenue funds the welfare side. A business account is never a key to the welfare network’s records.

Ask TIMOMAX sits between them. You describe what is happening in your own words — an animal with nowhere to go tonight, a shelter over capacity, a cat that needs boarding and insulin — and it works out which network holds the answer.

The rules it is built on

Four things TIMOMAX will not do.

These are not promises in a policy document. Each one is a constraint in the database or a check in the code, with a test that fails the build if it is ever broken.

  • 01  It will not invent availability. Every figure carries who said it and when. Where nobody has said, it prints “not known” rather than filling the gap with a guess.
  • 02  A claim expires rather than hardening. It decays from confirmed, to needing reconfirmation, to unknown — and never to “full”. No answer is never turned into no room.
  • 03  Payment cannot buy position. What a business pays is held in a separate table that no ranking query reads. Results are ordered by what a place can actually take, how close it is, and how fresh the information is.
  • 04  A person approves every placement. Nothing about where an animal goes is decided automatically, and an unapproved approval cannot be stored.

Why any of that matters.

Most directories guess. They show an “open now” badge from opening hours nobody has checked in a year, or a number of free kennels that came from an estimate rather than from the kennel.

At nine in the evening, with a frightened animal in the car, that guess sends someone across a city for nothing — and there is often no second attempt that night.

A figure with no source is a rumour. TIMOMAX would rather say it does not know.

Where we are

Not open yet.

TIMOMAX is not yet an operating service. There is no staffed line and nobody is monitoring this site for emergencies. If an animal is hurt or in danger right now, phone a veterinary practice. If a person is in danger, call 911.

We are signing up the first shelters, rescues, veterinary practices and boarding facilities in one metropolitan area. If you run one, we would like to hear from you.
