Community Guidelines

What everyone participating in the TIMOMAX Community agrees to.

Last updated 2026-08-29

TIMOMAX exists to create a safer, more compassionate network for animals and the people who care for them.

Everyone participating in the TIMOMAX Community must follow these principles.

Protect Animals First

Never use TIMOMAX to promote, facilitate, organize, depict for encouragement, or solicit animal cruelty, abuse, neglect, exploitation, fighting, or unlawful animal activity.

Content or accounts presenting a credible threat to an animal may be removed or restricted.

Be Truthful

Do not knowingly create false rescue emergencies, fraudulent animal listings, fabricated medical situations, misleading lost-and-found posts, fake organizations, or deceptive fundraising campaigns.

Clearly disclose material facts you know are relevant when offering an animal for foster, adoption, rescue, or transfer.

Respect Other People

Harassment, credible threats, stalking, hateful abuse, exploitation, and publication of another person’s private information without authorization are prohibited.

Disagreements about animal welfare can be emotional. Users must nevertheless communicate without threats or targeted abuse.

Responsible Rescue and Adoption

TIMOMAX is a connection platform, not a substitute for responsible screening.

Users should independently verify people and organizations before transferring custody of an animal.

Do not use TIMOMAX for unlawful animal sales, trafficking, breeding activity prohibited by applicable law, or other illegal transfers.

Emergency Posts

Use emergency and urgent designations responsibly.

Knowingly submitting false emergency information may result in immediate account restrictions or termination.

An urgent TIMOMAX post does not guarantee that a shelter, rescue, foster, veterinarian, volunteer, transporter, or other user will respond.

Veterinary Information

Community members should not represent themselves as licensed veterinarians unless they are appropriately licensed and authorized to do so.

Personal experiences may be shared as personal experiences, but users should not present unqualified medical opinions as professional diagnoses or prescriptions.

Fundraising

Fundraising information must be truthful.

Do not impersonate a rescue, shelter, veterinarian, animal owner, nonprofit organization, or other recipient.

TIMOMAX may request additional information or remove campaigns when fraud, misrepresentation, or safety concerns arise.

Privacy

Protect your own privacy and the privacy of others.

Avoid publicly posting private home addresses, financial information, identification documents, passwords, private telephone numbers, or other sensitive information unless necessary and appropriate for the particular feature.

Photos and Content

Only upload content you have the right to share.

Do not use another person’s photographs, copyrighted materials, identity, or private information unlawfully.

Businesses and Organizations

Organizations must accurately represent their identity, status, services, licensing, and affiliations.

A TIMOMAX profile or badge may not be used to falsely imply government approval, veterinary licensure, charitable status, or endorsement.

Reporting

Users can report suspected fraud, abuse, animal-welfare concerns, dangerous content, impersonation, or violations of these Guidelines.

TIMOMAX may review reports and take appropriate action, including content removal, reduced distribution, account restrictions, suspension, or termination.

Where appropriate and legally permitted, TIMOMAX may preserve information or cooperate with law enforcement, animal-control authorities, or other appropriate authorities concerning credible threats, suspected fraud, or unlawful activity.

Our Mission

Animals give us their trust without asking for anything in return.

TIMOMAX asks its community to honor that trust by acting responsibly, compassionately, and truthfully.

When they need us most, we are here for them.
